Zaton

Zaton is situated 8 km from Dubrovnik at the Northeast coast of a deep bay which is the home of three villages.

The biggest one of the three villages is Veliki Zaton which is situated at the West coast of the bay. Another one is located at a bay called Soline.

Because of the sheltered position and beautiful beaches it is famous resort of people from Dubrovnik. In the Soline cove were salt-pans.

Beside the village Podbrecje, 4,5 kilometers from Mali Zaton, is Mociteljska Cave with stalactites and stalagmites.
